Wedyan The Canal is the first residential project in Dubai by Kengo Kuma & Associates, the studio of world-renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, known for V&A Dundee, the Japan National Stadium and the Odunpazari Modern Museum. For Wedyan, the studio authored the tower's architecture: a flowing facade inspired by Middle Eastern landscapes — dunes, valleys and wind-shaped sand — applying Kuma's philosophy of softening the boundary between building and nature through natural stone, timber, light and water.
