Red Sea Global
The developer building Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast on a regenerative brief — 90-plus islands, and a rule that the reef comes before the resort.
What the Developer Is Known For
Red Sea Global is wholly owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and delivers The Red Sea and AMAALA under Vision 2030. The Red Sea destination spans 28,000 sq km across more than 90 islands and 200 km of shoreline in Tabuk province. Its centrepiece, Shura Island, was designed by Foster + Partners on a Coral Bloom concept that works resorts into the existing dune and reef landscape rather than levelling it, and carries 305 branded residences under Four Seasons, Jumeirah, Miraval and SLS, plus the 18-hole Shura Links golf course.
Regenerative, Not Just Low-Impact
Red Sea Global builds to a regenerative brief, designing around the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef system and its 2,000-plus recorded species.
Foster + Partners Island Masterplan
Shura Island was designed by Foster + Partners on the Coral Bloom concept, setting resorts into the natural dune landscape instead of reshaping the shoreline.
Four Hospitality Houses, One Island
Four Seasons, Jumeirah, Miraval and SLS each hold branded residences on Shura Island, with 305 beachfront villas between them.
